Get To Know Amud
Amud, cataloged as Amud 1, has been a subject of study for us for the last few years. He was part of our first publication in frontiers and will be further analyzed and developed into our collection of reconstructed individuals in future studies.
Our first version of Amud 1 was featured in our publication in Frontiers in Ecology and Evolution. He was reconstructed using methods developed for human forensic reconstructions based on regression equations. While this reconstruction did point to evidence that regression equations derived from human samples may be appropriate for reconstructing Neandertals, we concluded that further analysis was necessary to solidify this observation.
Amud has undergone a second reconstruction and will feature in a future study.

Amud will undergo further product development by our team and will be produced as a model for both private and educational collections.
